Message from Mom

Greetings to all of you,

Know it has been quite a while since Will has posted. Just want you all to know
that we heard from him today. His unit has arrived at their destination safely and are preparing to carry out their new mission. Sorry, but that is all the info I can give you at this time. He sends his greetings to all.

Little Jake is home from the hospital and loves being with Mom and Dad. Grandma and Grandpa visited this past weekend and did their best to fulfill their mission of spoiling him :>)

Until we hear from Will again...............

Hi Will's Mom,
Thank you for the post. I'm glad to hear he and remainder of his unit arrived at their destination safely. It was really nice and considerate of you to send this information.
I'm also glad to hear that Jake is home from the hospital. It sounds like the little guy is doing real well. What a toughie!
You and Will are in my husband's and my prayers, and we'll continue to pray for his and his troops safety and well being.

You are such a dear to post and update all of us who were chompin' at the bit.

Of course our anxiety pales by comparison to your's. I am ever so happy that you have a new grandson who is thriving and in whom you can delight along with the pride (and joy) you take in Will.

You are ever so generous to share him with us. And he to give up the majority of his right's so that we may have our's. For this I owe him and you his family an eternal debt of gratitude.

I know I joke, as this is my coping mechanism, however, I mean this most sincerely.

Thank you for doing an excellent job on raising such an exceptional man - I know you probably are not through fine tuning him yet - but I do appreciate the way he distinguishes himself from the rest.

May he return to you and your's even more gallant and refined than when he departed.

Warmest Regards,

SzaffireBlue

Hi Will's Mom,
Thanks for posting an update! I think you did a really good job raising your son. I've only started reading his blog recently, but he sounds like a really good guy. I hope he comes home safe and sound very soon. You and your family are in my prayers.
Take care,
Mels

Also thanks for the update! It must be weird sharing your son with so many of us. (But you must be very proud also) I to have a son, so I know some of the feelings you have. Sounds like Jake is in good hands also and being spoiled rotten. Hey that's what Grand Parents & Uncles are for!! You can spoil them and then give they back to the parents to deal with. LOL
Take are and give best wishes to Will from all of us.

Thanks so much Will's Mom for bringing us up to date. I am just one of many that let a sigh of relief to read your news.

At the risk of being redundant, may I also add my thank you for the fine job you obviously did in raising Will. I too am a military mom and can completely understand the alternate pride and pain of having your son in the service of his country. Pride by far takes the upper hand, though, doesn't it?

Also great news about your little grandson. I guess your smile must be pretty bright!

Take care. God Bless you, your family, our troops, and God Bless America.

Thanks for the update Mrs. Will's Mother (that's how my son's friends address me as Mrs. Peter's Mother, haha).

Sorry to hear that the Army actually DID send Will North. I will pray for his safe return.

Congrats on being able to bring baby Jake home. Now it's time for spoiling! (something in a parent's head snaps when they become a grandparent -- my mom is not the same woman who raised me, she lets my kids do whatever they want -- takes me days to get them to listen to me when they come home!)

Thanks for letting us know the boy's ok. Everyone here has been asking how he's doing so make sure he knows that all of us back home are still thinking of him and missing him if you get to talk to him. Of course now the only thing I can tell them is "He moved". Hopefully he can plug in and catch up on all the comments about what wonderful parents he has - something you will have to remind him of once he gets back I am sure :)
Glad that Jake is doing well too. You can never spoil them too much (and as Chris pointed out - then leave them with their parents).

Who's Will Anyway?
What's All This Then?
As most of the regular readers of Rooba.net know, I have a few friends that have been sent or called up for the soon-to-be-conflict in Iraq. One such friend is Will aka Will not weasel or Will from Omaha or whatever other moniker he's using on my site that day.

Will is a pretty good writer and this is the collection of his writings. It'll be interesting to hear updates from a soldier's point of view, so I'll be posting them for all to read.

Take care Will
